S/S 98 is a series of photographs I created as a child, with my muse — Barbie. It was 1998, and I was 10 years old, dreaming of becoming a fashion designer like my grandmother. Every day, over the course of a few months in the Spring, I would design clothes for my doll using my mother's pantyhose.

After completing each look, I would photograph it against a simple blue backdrop or the quirky wallpaper of our kitchen, using a disposable camera. What started as a playful project grew into a collection of 33 outfits, and before I knew it, these looks had become their own Spring/Summer collection.

The photos were placed into an album and forgotten about— until 20 years later, when I rediscovered them. Looking back, they serve as a window into my childhood dreams, and a precursor to my inevitable career as a photographer.
